My stay at Moxy New Orleans was a mixed bag. I loved the complimentary drink upon check-in and the modern vibe of the hotel. but the rooms were pretty basic and I encountered some cleanliness issues. Despite these drawbacks, the location was fantastic, allowing me quick access to the French Quarter.

Rooms

The room was small and basic, which was fine since I mostly needed a place to sleep. but cleanliness was lacking, with dirty floors and unfilled soap dispensers. The shower experience was one highlight though, as it was quite enjoyable.

The location was a big plus. just a short walk from Bourbon Street and Canal Street, making it easy to explore the city. It was great being close to dining options without being in the hustle and bustle.
Dining

Dining options were okay but not particularly impressive. breakfast left a lot to be desired and the food was busy and average. The bar downstairs had a lively atmosphere, which I enjoyed.
Facilities

Facilities were decent. I appreciated the modern decor and communal spaces, though I did miss having a refrigerator in the room. The cleanliness could use some attention as well.

7.4/10

I had a mixed experience at the Moxy New Orleans. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street, which made exploring so easy. The room was clean and modern, with incredibly comfortable beds, but I faced some issues with the hot water during my stay that could have been handled better. Overall, the friendly staff did their best to assist me, but transparency about the hot water situation left something to be desired. 😊

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious and had a contemporary design. However, the lack of coffee facilities and no in-room safe were drawbacks. I found it particularly odd that there was no iron in the room either.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and helpful, but the communication regarding the hot water outage was lacking. I appreciated the welcoming vibe, but there were moments when I felt like I was being brushed off.
Location
8.0
The hotel is ideally located within a few blocks of Bourbon Street and Canal Street, making it easy to access all the main attractions in the area.
Dining
6.0
I enjoyed the lively bar atmosphere and complimentary drinks at check-in, but I was left wanting better breakfast options and later hours for coffee.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel includes some unique amenities like a filtered water machine and ironing rooms on each floor, but I felt it lacked the standard conveniences typically found in other Marriott properties.

I had a mixed experience during my stay. While the modern room design and friendly staff were highlights, the tiny room and lack of amenities were disappointing. The location was convenient for exploring the French Quarter, but some housekeeping issues left a sour note.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was modern and clean, although a bit small and lacked a window, which felt confining. The hip décor was appealing, but I did find it too basic for comfort during my stay.
Service

The staff were generally friendly and accommodating, providing helpful local recommendations. However, I faced some inconsistencies with housekeeping which impacted my overall comfort.
Location
8.0
The hotel is located just a 10-minute walk away from the French Quarter, which made it easy for me to explore the nightlife and dining options nearby without being in the middle of the chaos.
Dining
5.0
While I appreciated the recommendations for local eateries, the breakfast offered at the hotel was subpar, with old coffee and pastries. It left much to be desired to start my day.
Facilities

Facilities like the bar and the unique check-in experience were interesting, but I found the lack of in-room coffee and facilities a bit disappointing. The shared ironing rooms were an odd choice for convenience.

The location is fantastic, just a quick walk to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, which made exploring the city easy. However, I did encounter a few issues with my room, such as inconsistent hot water and some furnishings needing attention. Overall, it was a unique experience, and I appreciated the modern design and comfy bed. 😊✨

I had a pretty solid experience at Moxy New Orleans Downtown. The location is perfect because it's just a couple of blocks from Canal Street, giving me easy access to the nightlife without being in the chaos. However, the room setup was a bit quirky with some noise issues and the A/C situation wasn’t ideal at first. Overall, it was a fun, modern place to stay, but there are a few areas for improvement.

Rooms
6.0
The room was modern and clean, but the layout was a bit strange with minimal furniture and no closet space. I wasn't a huge fan of the mattress setup on a platform base, though it was comfy enough for a good night's sleep.
Service
8.0
The staff was super friendly and accommodating, making my check-in smooth and welcoming with complimentary drinks. They also helped with my requests promptly, which enhanced my overall experience.
Location
9.0
Being so close to both the French Quarter and Bourbon Street was fantastic for wandering around and soaking up the local vibe, yet far enough to avoid too much noise at night.
Dining
7.0
The bar atmosphere was lively and fun, perfect for meeting other guests. There’s also a cool selection of snacks and drinks available, making it a great spot to chill.
Facilities
6.0
The A/C issue was a bummer since it took a while to fix, but overall, the hotel had decent facilities like valet service and laundry options. It could use a bit more attention to detail in room amenities.
